The most insane scene arrives near the end, when Christian (a fearless Jack Reynor) submits himself to a ritualistic sexual ceremony with Maja (Isabelle Grill), a girl who magicked him into falling in love with her while Midsommar is a freak buffet of gloriously disturbing moments.
